Job Overview
AgriTech Solutions Kenya Ltd. is seeking an innovative AgriTech Product Manager to lead the development and deployment of next-generation agricultural technologies. This role is ideal for a visionary professional passionate about leveraging technology to solve real-world farming challenges. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions that enhance crop yields, optimize resource use, and improve market access for farmers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the lifecycle management of AgriTech products, from ideation to market launch
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and farmer needs in Kenya’s agricultural sector
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and agronomists to develop AI-driven crop monitoring tools
- Design user-friendly mobile applications for farm data collection, weather forecasting, and market price tracking
- Partner with local cooperatives and government agencies to implement precision agriculture solutions
- Monitor product performance metrics and iterate on user feedback for continuous improvement
Required Skills
- Proven experience in agricultural technology product development
- Strong understanding of Kenyan farming systems and value chains
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile/Scrum)
- Excellent stakeholder communication and cross-cultural collaboration skills
- Technical knowledge of IoT devices and agritech platforms
- Ability to analyze agricultural data and translate insights into product features
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Information Technology, or Business Administration
- Master’s Degree in Agribusiness or Technology Management (preferred)
Experience
- 3-5 years in agricultural technology, product management, or rural development
- Experience with smart farming solutions or digital agriculture platforms
- Track record of successfully launching tech products in emerging markets
Salary
200,000 – 250,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
