Job Overview

M-Tiba is seeking a skilled Telemedicine Platform Developer to design, implement, and maintain next-generation telehealth solutions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to build secure, user-friendly platforms that empower patients and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with a passion for improving healthcare accessibility in Kenya.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable telemedicine software solutions using modern programming frameworks.
  • Integrate platforms with electronic health records (EHR) and mobile money payment systems.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize user experience and clinical workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Conduct testing, debugging, and performance optimization of telehealth applications.
  • Provide technical support for live platforms and resolve critical issues promptly.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Java for backend/frontend development.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) and API integrations.
  • Knowledge of healthcare IT standards (HL7, FHIR) and telemedicine protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in agile development environments.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Salary
