Job Overview:We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Sustainable Water Resources Manager to join our team in Kisumu, Kenya. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our water resources management efforts in the region, working closely with local stakeholders, government agencies, and other partners to develop and implement sustainable water management solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of sustainable water resources management plans and strategies in the region.
- Collaborate with local stakeholders, government agencies, and other partners to identify and address water-related challenges and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local communities, government officials, and other NGOs.
- Provide technical guidance and support to local teams on water resources management and conservation.
- Develop and manage budgets and project plans to ensure effective implementation of water resources management projects.
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Water Resources Management, or related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in water resources management, conservation, or a related field.
- Proven track record of leading successful water resources management projects and initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
Education:The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Water Resources Management, or a related field. A Ph.D. in a related field would be an added advantage.
Experience:The successful candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in water resources management, conservation, or a related field. Proven experience in leading successful water resources management projects and initiatives is essential.
Salary:The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of 120,000 – 180,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
