Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Safari Guiding

• Deliver exceptional guest excursions, safari tours, and outdoor experiences with professionalism and enthusiasm.
• Provide engaging storytelling and interpretation of wildlife, ecosystems, geography, conservation, culture, and local history.
• Personalize travel experiences based on guest interests, preferences, age groups, and comfort levels.
• Build meaningful guest relationships through warm hospitality, attentiveness, emotional intelligence, and excellent customer service.
• Represent Accor and Fairmont hospitality values through premium service delivery.

Excursion & Tour Facilitation

• Lead and coordinate game drives, guided tours, and nature experiences across key conservation areas and attractions.
• Facilitate experiences including:
  • Wildlife safaris and conservation excursions
  • Nature walks and ecological tours
  • Bird watching and biodiversity experiences
  • Cultural activities and heritage tours
  • Luxury bush experiences and sundowners
  • Airport transfers and inter-property transportation services
• Ensure guests enjoy safe, informative, and memorable travel experiences.

Safety & Vehicle Operations

• Ensure the highest standards of guest safety, vehicle maintenance, and operational readiness during tours and transfers.
• Conduct vehicle inspections before and after excursions to maintain safety and performance standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of tour vehicles, safari equipment, and operational tools.
• Follow all road safety regulations, wildlife conservancy protocols, and company operating procedures.

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of:

  • Bird identification and habitats

• Continuously improve guiding knowledge through training, reading, and field experiences.

Education & Qualification Requirements

Candidates should possess:

• A valid driving license with a clean driving record.
• Bronze, Silver, or Gold level Guiding Certification or equivalent qualification.
• First Aid Certification is mandatory.
• Defensive Driving Certification or practical experience in safe driving is highly preferred.
• Additional hospitality or tourism certifications are an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

Applicants should have:

• Previous 2-3 years professional safari guiding or tour guiding experience.
• Experience in luxury hospitality, safari lodges, tourism operations, or guest services is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of wildlife conservation areas, ecosystems, outdoor tourism, and nature-based activities.
