Job Overview
The Industrial Automation Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated control systems that drive the efficiency of Bamburi Cement’s production lines. Key Responsibilities
- Design, program, and commission PLC and SCADA systems for cement production equipment.
- Develop and maintain HMI interfaces to provide real‑time operational visibility.
- Conduct regular system diagnostics, troubleshoot faults, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with maintenance, process, and safety teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal SOPs.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using data analytics to optimize cycle times and energy consumption.
- Document automation architectures, configuration files, and change‑control procedures.
- Provide technical training and support to plant operators and maintenance personnel.
- Ensure all automation projects adhere to environmental and sustainability guidelines.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in PLC programming languages (Siemens, Allen‑Bradley, Schneider Electric).
- Strong knowledge of SCADA systems such as Wonderware, Ignition, or WinCC.
- Experience with industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus).
- Ability to read and interpret P&ID diagrams and electrical schematics.
- Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on root‑cause analysis.
- Excellent communication skills for cross‑departmental collaboration.
- Familiarity with safety standards (ISO 45001, IEC 61508) and cement industry processes.
Education

Salary
