Job Overview
The Digital Marketing Specialist will lead the planning, execution and optimization of multi‑channel campaigns that promote Google’s advertising solutions, cloud services and consumer products to businesses and consumers in Kenya. This role collaborates closely with product managers, creative teams, analytics, and sales to ensure that campaigns deliver measurable results and align with broader business objectives. The specialist will also monitor market trends, conduct competitor analysis, and leverage SEO best practices to enhance brand visibility. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute integrated digital marketing strategies across search, display, video, social media and email channels.
- Manage end‑to‑end campaign lifecycle, including budgeting, targeting, creative brief development, launch, monitoring and reporting.
- Analyze performance metrics using Google Analytics, Google Ads, and internal dashboards to optimize ROI and conversion rates.
- Collaborate with content creators to produce compelling ad copy, visuals and video assets that resonate with Kenyan audiences.
- Conduct keyword research, SEO audits and on‑page optimization to improve organic visibility for Google products.
- Stay abreast of emerging digital trends, platform updates and local market dynamics to recommend innovative tactics.
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for senior leadership, highlighting insights and actionable recommendations.
- Coordinate with sales teams to align marketing initiatives with lead generation and pipeline goals.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and major social media advertising platforms.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and translate insights into strategy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling.
- Experience with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs or Moz.
- Project management capabilities and ability to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Creative thinking and problem‑solving orientation.
- Knowledge of the Kenyan digital landscape, consumer behavior and cultural nuances.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Computer Science or a related discipline is required. Certifications such as Google Ads Certification, Google Analytics Individual Qualification (GAIQ) or HubSpot Inbound Marketing are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.
Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of three to five years of hands‑on experience managing digital marketing campaigns for B2B or B2C audiences. Prior experience in a technology or advertising environment, especially within East Africa, will be valued. Demonstrated success in driving measurable growth, lead generation and brand awareness is essential.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 120,000 to SSP 180,000 per month, commensurate with experience, expertise and performance. In addition to base salary, Google Kenya offers performance‑based bonuses, stock options and a comprehensive benefits suite.
