Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Forestry Data Analyst to join our team in Kisumu, Kenya. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting large datasets related to forestry and conservation, and providing insights to inform our conservation efforts. The position will also involve working closely with our field teams to collect and analyze data, and developing and implementing data-driven solutions to address conservation challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze large datasets related to forestry and conservation
- Develop and implement data-driven solutions to address conservation challenges
- Work closely with field teams to collect and analyze data
- Provide insights and recommendations to inform conservation efforts
- Develop and maintain databases and data systems
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. R, Python, Tableau)
- Strong understanding of forestry and conservation principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in data analysis and conservation
Salary: 60,000 – 90,000 SSP per annum
