Job Overview
The Cybersecurity Incident Response Manager will lead Cisco Kenya’s Security Operations Center (SOC) in detecting, analyzing, and mitigating cyber threats targeting our clients and internal assets. Reporting to the Regional Security Director, the role involves orchestrating incident response activities, developing playbooks, and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001 and NIST. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the end‑to‑end incident response lifecycle, from detection to containment, eradication, and post‑incident analysis.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve incident response playbooks, standard operating procedures, and escalation matrices.
- Conduct real‑time threat hunting, forensic analysis, and root‑cause investigations to identify attack vectors and mitigate future risks.
- Collaborate with Cisco engineering teams to apply security patches, configuration changes, and mitigation strategies across client environments.
- Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on emerging threats, risk assessments, and security posture improvements.
- Mentor and train SOC analysts, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, skill development, and operational excellence.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory frameworks and industry standards, preparing reports for audits and certifications.
- Represent Cisco at industry conferences, webinars, and local cybersecurity forums to showcase expertise and promote best practices.
Required Skills
- Deep expertise in incident response methodologies, digital forensics, and malware analysis.
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Cisco SecureX, Splunk), IDS/IPS, and endpoint detection and response tools.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities under pressure.
- Effective communication skills for translating technical findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Leadership experience managing cross‑functional teams in high‑stakes environments.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCIH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Education

Salary
