Job Overview

The Carbon Asset Development Manager will lead the end-to-end development, monitoring, and verification of our carbon offset projects. You will ensure our clean cooking initiatives comply with international carbon standards such as the Gold Standard and Verra. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, registration, and issuance of carbon credits under international standards.
• Manage the monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV) processes for clean energy projects.
• Coordinate with external validation and verification bodies (VVBs) to ensure timely audits.
• Analyze operational data to estimate and track greenhouse gas emission reductions.
• Collaborate with product teams to integrate carbon tracking into our software platforms.

Required Skills

• In-depth knowledge of voluntary carbon standards, particularly Gold Standard and Verra.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage complex datasets.
• Excellent project management skills with a proven track record in carbon markets.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Education

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Climate Change, Forestry, Economics, or a closely related discipline. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.

Experience

We require a minimum of five years of professional experience in carbon project development or climate finance. Experience in the African carbon market is highly desirable for this Job Vacancy in Kenya.
