Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement multi‑year retail operations strategies that drive sales growth, margin improvement and cost reduction.
  • Conduct comprehensive market and competitor analyses to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences and growth opportunities.
  • Lead cross‑functional project teams to design, pilot and roll out new store formats, omnichannel initiatives and technology solutions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as same‑store sales, inventory turnover, customer satisfaction and labor productivity, providing regular reports to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with the merchandising team to align product assortment, pricing and promotional strategies with operational capabilities.
  • Optimize supply chain processes, including demand forecasting, replenishment planning and last‑mile delivery, to ensure product availability and reduce waste.
  • Develop talent management programs for store managers and frontline staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and customer focus.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, health and safety standards, and Carrefour’s corporate governance policies.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Supply Chain Management, Economics or a related discipline is required. Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in retail operations, strategy development or consulting within a large‑scale retail environment. Prior experience with international retail brands or exposure to emerging markets in Africa is preferred. Demonstrated success in leading transformation projects that resulted in measurable performance improvements is essential.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from SSP 150,000 to SSP 250,000 per month, commensurate with experience, qualifications and performance. The package includes a performance‑based bonus, health insurance, pension contributions and other employee benefits.
