Job Overview
Andela is seeking a skilled Augmented Reality Developer to join its dynamic team in Nairobi. This role involves designing, developing, and deploying immersive AR applications that push the boundaries of technology. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in 3D modeling, computer vision, and interactive software to create solutions for industries ranging from education to healthcare. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop augmented reality applications using Unity or Unreal Engine.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AR solutions into existing platforms.
- Conduct user testing and refine applications based on feedback.
- Stay updated on emerging AR technologies and industry trends.
- Document technical processes and maintain code repositories.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in C# or C++ for AR development.
- Experience with AR frameworks like ARKit or ARCore.
- Strong understanding of 3D modeling and animation tools (Blender, Maya).
- Problem-solving skills with a focus on user-centric design.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Advanced certifications in AR/VR development are a plus.

- 3-5 years of professional experience in AR/VR development.

Salary
200,000 – 300,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
