Job Overview

The Wind Farm Operations Manager will lead the day‑to‑day management of the Nakuru wind farm, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all operational aspects of the wind farm, including turbine performance, maintenance scheduling, and real‑time monitoring.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Ensure compliance with Kenya Power and Renewable Energy Authority regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of technicians, engineers, and contractors, fostering a culture of safety and performance.
• Analyze production data, generate performance reports, and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements to ensure high‑quality support.
• Coordinate with corporate sustainability teams to align operational targets with carbon reduction goals.
• Prepare and manage the operational budget, controlling costs while maintaining high reliability.
• Respond to emergencies, conduct root‑cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
• Promote community engagement initiatives related to renewable energy education and outreach.
