Job Title: Laboratory Technician II (Physiochemical Analysis)

Responsibilities
An officer at this level will work under the supervision of a senior officer.
Duties and responsibilities at this level entail:
- Implement Standard Operating Procedures;
- Implement section plans and work plans;
- Cleaning bins and benches and ensuring proper disposal of analytical waste.
- Maintain reorder level for waste disposal bags
- Adhere to MSDS requirements
- Implement Bio – safety Bio-security framework
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Cumulative relevant service period of three (3) years’ work experience at the grade of Laboratory Technician III or in a comparable position;
- Professional Certificate in Science laboratory technologist, Industrial Chemistry, analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Medical Laboratory or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Proficiency in computer applications.
Successful candidates shall be placed on contract for a period of one (1) year. Other terms and conditions of service shall be guided by the provisions of the National Quality Control Laboratory (NQCL) approved Human Resource Instruments.
