Job Overview
Safaricom is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Territory Sales Executive to support the expansion of its telecommunications services in Nakuru and the surrounding region. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving regional sales performance, expanding distribution networks, and increasing the adoption of Safaricom’s mobile voice, data, and digital financial services.
This role requires a proactive sales professional who can identify new business opportunities, build strong relationships with retail partners, and implement effective sales strategies to grow market share. The Territory Sales Executive will work closely with regional distributors, retail outlets, and corporate clients to ensure strong product visibility, customer engagement, and consistent sales growth.
The ideal candidate should possess strong negotiation skills, excellent market awareness, and the ability to manage a diverse sales territory effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute territory sales strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and retail partners
Identify and pursue new customer acquisition opportunities across the region
Monitor sales pipeline performance and territory sales metrics
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities
Implement product promotions, trade marketing campaigns, and brand activations
Ensure effective retail merchandising and product visibility in assigned outlets
Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and market intelligence insights
Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to improve customer experience and service delivery
Track and analyze sales performance KPIs to improve sales efficiency
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong sales negotiation and closing techniques
Experience in telecommunications sales or FMCG distribution
Excellent client relationship management skills
Ability to analyze sales analytics and performance data
Proficiency in CRM tools and sales reporting systems
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
