Job Overview

The Revenue Management Analyst will be responsible for optimizing room inventory, pricing strategies and distribution channels for Sarova Hotels’ Malindi resort. Working closely with the General Manager, Sales & Marketing, and Finance teams, you will analyze market trends, forecast demand, and develop data‑driven pricing models that enhance revenue and market share. Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze historical booking data, market demand, and competitor pricing to develop accurate revenue forecasts.
  • Set dynamic room rates and manage pricing structures across all distribution channels, including OTA platforms, GDS, and direct bookings.
  • Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to design promotional packages and seasonal offers that align with market demand.
  • Monitor key performance indicators such as RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, and market share, providing regular reports to senior management.
  • Identify and implement revenue optimization opportunities, including upselling, cross‑selling, and ancillary services.
  • Maintain and update the property’s revenue management system (RMS) to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Conduct competitive set analysis and produce weekly market intelligence briefs.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing revenue projections and variance analysis.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL and revenue management software.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities to convey complex data insights to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • In‑depth understanding of hospitality pricing strategies, distribution channels and market dynamics.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Swahili is an advantage.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Hospitality Management, Economics or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as Certified Revenue Management Executive (CRME) or similar are advantageous.

Experience

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in revenue management, pricing analysis, or financial planning within the hospitality industry. Experience with international hotel chains or upscale resorts is preferred.

Salary

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from SSP 1,500,000 to SSP 2,500,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the compensation package.
