Job Overview

Mombasa County Referral Hospital seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver exceptional healthcare services in Mombasa. The nurse will support patient care, coordinate with medical teams, and ensure high standards of clinical practice.

This role involves providing comprehensive care to inpatients and outpatients, participating in emergency and surgical procedures, and mentoring junior nursing staff. The ideal candidate demonstrates clinical competence, attention to detail, and a patient-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor patient health, vital signs, and treatment plans.

Administer prescribed medications and therapies.

Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.

Assist in surgical procedures and medical interventions.

Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records.

Implement infection control, hygiene, and safety protocols.

Educate patients on disease prevention and health promotion.

Participate in emergency response and trauma care.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

Supervise and support junior nurses in clinical tasks and procedures.

Candidate Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing

Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya

3–5 years hospital or clinical nursing experience

Knowledge of patient care, clinical procedures, and nursing ethics

Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills

Flexibility to work shifts, nights, and weekends

Salary & Benefits

Annual Salary: Approximately KES 900,000 – KES 1,200,000 per year
