Job Overview

The Maritime Logistics Coordinator will manage cargo coordination, vessel scheduling, and compliance with international shipping regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate cargo loading/unloading operations at Mombasa Port and oversee vessel schedules.
- Collaborate with customs authorities, shipping agents, and port authorities to ensure compliance with maritime regulations.
- Optimize freight routes and shipping schedules to minimize delays and reduce operational costs.
- Monitor and report on logistics performance metrics, including on-time delivery and cargo handling efficiency.
- Implement risk management strategies to address supply chain disruptions and security challenges.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in maritime logistics or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and port operations.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and data analytics tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Swahili preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Postgraduate qualification in Maritime Studies or Business Administration (MBA) advantageous.
Experience
- 3-5 years in maritime logistics, port operations, or international trade.
- Experience with Kenyan and East African maritime infrastructure and regulations.
Salary
KES 150,000 – KES 200,000 per month, commensurate with experience and performance.
