Job Overview
The Marine Logistics Coordinator will play a pivotal role in orchestrating the seamless movement of cargo through Mombasa’s busy port facilities. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating vessel arrivals, managing cargo documentation, optimizing container handling processes, and ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate vessel berthing schedules and liaise with port authorities to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
- Manage cargo documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and hazardous material permits.
- Monitor container loading and unloading operations, ensuring adherence to safety standards and minimizing dwell time.
- Utilize Maersk’s digital tools to track shipments, update status in real time, and communicate proactively with customers.
- Collaborate with inland transportation partners to arrange seamless door‑to‑door delivery.
- Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulations, local customs laws, and company SOPs.
- Prepare daily operational reports for senior management review.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of maritime logistics, port operations, and container handling.
- Proficiency with logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Analytical mindset with the capacity to interpret data and drive continuous improvement.

Education

Experience

Salary
