Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Geospatial Data Analyst to join our team in Embu, Kenya. As a Geospatial Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting geospatial data to support business decision-making.
You will work closely with our data scientists and analysts to develop and implement data visualization tools and techniques, and provide expert advice on the use of GIS technology in various industries.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geographic information systems, data analysis, and visualization, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret geospatial data to support business decision-making
- Develop and implement data visualization tools and techniques
- Provide expert advice on the use of GIS technology in various industries
- Work closely with data scientists and analysts to develop and implement data-driven solutions
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in geographic information systems
Required Skills
- Strong background in geographic information systems, data analysis, and visualization
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in GIS software, including ArcGIS and QGIS
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems or related field
