Job Overview

This role supports Tetra Tech’s mission to evaluate environmental impacts of development projects. The Environmental Impact Assessor will conduct field studies, analyze data, and prepare reports to guide sustainable decision-making. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct field surveys to assess ecological impacts of infrastructure projects
  • Prepare environmental impact assessment (EIA) reports for government submissions
  • Collaborate with local communities on conservation planning
  • Analyze biodiversity data using GIS mapping software
  • Develop mitigation strategies for land development projects

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in EIA methodologies and Kenyan environmental regulations
  • Experience with ArcGIS and environmental modeling tools
  • li>Strong data analysis and report writing capabilities

  • Bilingual communication skills (English/Swahili preferred)
  • Ability to work in remote field locations

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or Geography
  • Postgraduate qualification in Environmental Management advantageous

Experience

  • 3-5 years in environmental assessment or conservation projects
  • Previous work in East African ecosystems preferred

Salary

200,000 – 300,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience
