Job Description:
The Digital Forestry Specialist will work with our team to develop and implement digital solutions for forest conservation and management. This will involve working with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders to design and implement digital tools and platforms that support sustainable forest management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, forestry, or a related field, as well as experience working with digital technologies and tools. They will be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders, work independently, and be able to travel to remote locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement digital solutions for forest conservation and management
- Work with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders to design and implement digital tools and platforms
- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for digital innovation in forest conservation
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including local communities, governments, and other organizations
- Travel to remote locations as needed to conduct fieldwork and meet with stakeholders
Required Skills
- Strong background in environmental science, forestry, or a related field
- Experience working with digital technologies and tools, including GIS, remote sensing, and data analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to travel to remote locations as needed
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field

5-7 years of experience in environmental conservation, forestry, or a related field
