Job Overview

The Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence Analyst will join Google Kenya’s Information Security team to monitor, analyze, and respond to cyber threats targeting the organization’s infrastructure and customers. Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze threat data from open‑source, commercial, and internal feeds.
• Develop and maintain threat intelligence reports tailored to Google’s services and regional threats.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to provide context and recommendations during security events.
• Identify emerging attack vectors and advise engineering teams on preventive measures.
• Maintain a knowledge base of adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Present findings to senior leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Participate in threat‑hunting exercises and red‑team simulations.
• Stay current with global cybersecurity trends, regulations, and best practices.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical abilities with experience in threat modeling and risk assessment.
• Proficiency in using SIEM, IDS/IPS, and threat intelligence platforms.
• Deep understanding of malware analysis, phishing campaigns, and network forensics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with cloud security concepts, especially Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of regional cyber threat landscape in East Africa.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or GCTI are advantageous.

Education
