Job Overview
The Construction Project Controls Engineer will play a pivotal role in planning, monitoring, and controlling the cost, schedule, and performance of large‑scale construction projects. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
- Monitor project performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Generate regular progress reports, dashboards, and earned value analysis for senior management.
- Coordinate with procurement, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Support contract administration, change order evaluation, and claim management.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in project control software (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent).
- Strong analytical abilities with a solid understanding of earned value management.
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting and negotiation.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Detail‑oriented mindset with strong organizational capabilities.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI‑ACP, or a recognized Project Controls qualification are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Applicants must possess a minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in construction project controls, preferably on large infrastructure projects. Experience within the East African construction market, familiarity with local regulations, and a track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget are essential.
Salary
The role offers a competitive salary range of SSP 150,000 to SSP 250,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and allowances are also part of the compensation package.
