Job Overview

The Construction Project Controls Engineer will be responsible for overseeing cost, schedule, and performance metrics across multiple construction sites. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The engineer will work closely with project managers, estimators, and field teams to develop and maintain robust control systems, providing critical insights for decision‑making. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Monitor and report cost performance, forecasting variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with procurement and finance teams to ensure alignment of budgets and cash flow.
• Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to assess project health.
• Conduct risk analysis and develop mitigation plans for schedule and cost risks.
• Support change order management and ensure accurate documentation.
• Facilitate regular project control meetings and maintain comprehensive meeting minutes.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in project control software (Primavera P6, MS Project, Asta Powerproject).
• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, budgeting, and cost control principles.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI‑ACP, or a Certified Cost Engineer designation are advantageous.

Experience

Minimum of five years of experience in project controls within the construction industry, preferably on large‑scale infrastructure projects. Experience with international standards and multi‑disciplinary teams is highly valued.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from SSP 150,000 to SSP 250,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses and allowances.
