Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field assessments of coastal ecosystems to identify restoration priorities
- Develop and execute habitat restoration plans aligned with national environmental policies
- Coordinate with local stakeholders for community-based conservation initiatives
- Monitor biodiversity recovery using GIS and remote sensing technologies
- Prepare technical reports and publish findings in scientific journals
Required Skills
- Expertise in coastal ecosystem dynamics and restoration techniques
- Proficiency in environmental impact assessment methodologies
- Strong project management and cross-cultural communication skills
- Ability to use ArcGIS, QGIS, and marine data analysis tools

Education
Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, Marine Biology, Coastal Management, or equivalent. A PhD is advantageous but not mandatory.
Experience
Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in coastal restoration projects, preferably in East African contexts. Experience working with UN agencies or bilateral donors is a plus.
Salary
250,000 – 350,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
