Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Forestry Data Analyst to join our team in Nakuru, Kenya. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting large datasets related to forestry and conservation, and will work closely with our team of scientists and researchers to inform our conservation efforts. The position will be based in our Nakuru office, and will require frequent travel to our field sites in Kenya.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret large datasets related to forestry and conservation
- Develop and implement data visualization tools to communicate complex data insights to stakeholders
- Collaborate with our team of scientists and researchers to inform our conservation efforts
- Develop and maintain databases and data systems to support our conservation work
- Provide data analysis and visualization support to our conservation teams
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent data visualization skills
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as R, Python, and Tableau
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in data analysis and visualization, preferably in a conservation or environmental organization
Salary: 80,000 – 120,000 SSP per annum
