Job Overview

The Smart City Development Specialist will lead initiatives to integrate technology, sustainability, and urban planning in Nairobi’s expanding metropolitan areas. This role focuses on designing intelligent infrastructure solutions that enhance livability, reduce environmental impact, and improve urban mobility. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement smart city frameworks aligned with Kenya’s Vision 2030 goals
  • Collaborate with municipal authorities to design IoT-enabled infrastructure solutions
  • Conduct feasibility studies for renewable energy integration in urban settings
  • Lead cross-departmental teams in smart transportation and waste management projects
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders and investors

Required Skills

  • Expertise in urban planning software (e.g., ArcGIS, AutoCAD)
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools (Python, Tableau)
