Job Overview
This role involves optimizing mineral processing techniques to maximize recovery rates and operational efficiency. The position is based at Anglo American’s state-of-the-art processing facility in Mombasa, which handles a range of base and precious metals. The company is actively seeking innovative engineers to support its transition to low-carbon mining practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement mineral processing workflows for ore beneficiation
- Analyze metallurgical data to improve recovery rates and reduce waste
- Collaborate with geologists and metallurgists on process optimization projects
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Conduct regular audits of processing equipment performance
- Prepare technical reports for senior management review
Required Skills
- Proficiency in mineral processing software (e.g., HSC Chemistry, JKSimMet)
- Strong analytical skills for process troubleshooting
- Experience with mineral characterization techniques
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
- Knowledge of sustainable mining practices
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining, Chemical, or Metallurgical Engineering
- Postgraduate qualification in Mineral Processing preferred
Experience

Salary
