Job Overview

This role focuses on enhancing supply chain efficiency across Maersk’s Kenyan operations. The ideal candidate will leverage data-driven strategies to optimize inventory management, transportation routes, and warehouse operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery. The position is based in Bungoma, a strategic logistics hub in western Kenya.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze supply chain data to identify inefficiencies and propose optimization strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline procurement, inventory, and distribution processes.
  • Implement advanced analytics tools to forecast demand and manage supply chain risks.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs to monitor supply chain performance and report to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with international logistics standards and local regulatory requirements.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with lean logistics and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Kenyan and regional trade regulations.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degrees (MBA/MSc) are a plus.

Experience

3-5 years of experience in supply chain optimization, preferably in logistics or manufacturing sectors. Experience in East African markets is advantageous.

Salary

250,000 – 350,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
