Job Overview
The Quality Assurance Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all Nestlé Kenya products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for conducting rigorous testing, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives across the production line. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and non‑routine laboratory analyses on raw materials, in‑process samples, and finished goods.
- Document test results accurately in the laboratory information management system (LIMS) and ensure traceability.
- Identify deviations, conduct root‑cause investigations, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with Production, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to support product launches and process changes.
- Maintain compliance with Kenyan Food, Drugs and Chemical Act, ISO 22000, and Nestlé Global Food Safety standards.
- Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management.
- Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and corrective action closure.
- Support continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in microbiological, chemical, and physical testing methods.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and ISO standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and LIMS software.
- Problem‑solving mindset with a proactive approach to quality issues.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications such as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt are advantageous.
Experience
Applicants should have 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in a food manufacturing quality assurance or laboratory environment. Experience within multinational FMCG companies is highly preferred.
Salary
The competitive salary range for this role is SSP 120,000 to 180,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and annual salary reviews are part of the compensation package.
