About the NOURISH Investment
The NOURISH Investment (Nurture the ecosystem, Optimize the market, Unlock financing, Reinforce ANC platforms, Integrate and Scale MMS and Calcium for Healthy Futures) is a regional initiative focused on strengthening maternal nutrition systems in Africa.
The investment supports the transition from Iron Folic Acid (IFA) supplementation to Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation (MMS) and calcium integration across eight African countries. The initiative seeks to:
- Reach at least 4 million women with MMS interventions.
- Strengthen regional market systems and pooled procurement mechanisms.
- Mobilize approximately USD 54.4 million in financing for MMS scale-up.
- Support country integration of calcium supplementation.
- Advocate for improved maternal micronutrient supplementation policies and evidence-based programming.
As the consortium lead, Nutrition International provides technical guidance, regional coordination, and support for maternal nutrition data systems to improve accountability, data quality, interoperability, and evidence-based decision-making.
Job Description (JD)
Nutrition International seeks to recruit an experienced and highly analytical Information Management & Reporting Officer (IMRO) to support information systems management, evidence generation, dashboard development, reporting, and learning under the NOURISH Investment.
The IMRO will work under the technical supervision of the MEAL Advisor and will be responsible for ensuring investment-level and country-level data remain high quality, accessible, interoperable, and actionable.
The successful candidate will lead data visualization, reporting systems, knowledge management, and evidence communication while operationalizing the Performance Measurement Framework (PMF) and supporting data-driven decision-making.
This role will also involve close collaboration with Technical Assistance Partners (TAPs) and MEAL focal points across multiple countries to generate dashboards, reports, and analytical products that improve investment accountability and performance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Data Management & Systems Support
The Information Management & Reporting Officer will:
- Support the MEAL Advisor and TAPs in cleaning, validating, and analyzing routine data from DHIS2, HMIS, LMIS, and eCHIS systems.
- Maintain standardized monitoring tools, KPI trackers, and indicator reference sheets.
- Monitor data completeness and consistency while identifying reporting gaps.
- Support survey spot checks, tool versioning, quality control, and monitoring guidance.
2. Dashboard Development, Maintenance & Analytics
The successful candidate will:
- Manage grant-level dashboards and analytics systems for regional monitoring.
- Design and maintain dynamic visualizations using Power BI, DHIS2, Tableau, and Excel.
- Produce trend analyses, summary tables, dashboards, and data briefs.
- Ensure dashboards are updated regularly with actionable insights and quality indicators.
- Develop confidence markers, quality flags, completeness indicators, and user guidance notes.

3. Reporting, Documentation & Data Storytelling
Responsibilities will include:
- Producing quarterly, annual, and donor reports summarizing KPI progress and implementation outcomes.
- Transforming technical data into accessible narratives, infographics, and evidence summaries.
- Preparing presentations, slide decks, analytical briefs, and country insight documents.
- Supporting recurring data packs for performance reviews and learning sessions.
- Documenting lessons learned and implementation insights across participating countries.
4. Quality Assurance & Learning Support
The officer will:
- Conduct data quality reviews, verification exercises, and completeness assessments.
- Work with Technical Assistance Partners to resolve identified reporting issues.
- Prepare analytical products and learning materials for cross-country meetings.
- Maintain organized SharePoint repositories with structured version control.
- Produce Data Quality Assessment (DQA) reports and track corrective actions.
5. Learning, Documentation & Knowledge Management
Key responsibilities include:
- Translating the learning strategy into an operational evidence calendar.
- Mapping learning priorities to relevant data sources and reporting outputs.
- Producing case studies, learning briefs, implementation guides, and evidence summaries.
- Supporting documentation of system improvements and best practices.

- 5–7+ years of experience in:

- Global Health or International Development
- Experience working in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs).
- Strong understanding of donor-funded projects including compliance requirements.
- Experience within Public Health, Nutrition, NGO, or Development sectors.
- Familiarity with donor frameworks such as:
- Government agencies
- UN organizations
- Bilateral and multilateral donors
- Foundations including FCDO, EU, Global Affairs Canada, and other public/private funders.
