Job Overview
This position is part of Kenya’s expanding aviation sector, offering career opportunities in aircraft maintenance and technical operations. The Aviation Maintenance Technician will work on commercial and private aircraft, ensuring compliance with international safety standards. The role combines hands-on technical work with collaboration in a dynamic, multicultural team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance on aircraft systems.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and software.
- Document maintenance activities and ensure compliance with aviation regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers and pilots to resolve technical challenges.
- Adhere to safety protocols and environmental sustainability guidelines.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in aircraft systems, including engines, hydraulics, and avionics.
- Valid aviation maintenance certification (e.g., EASA Part-66 or FAA A&P).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of aviation safety standards and procedures.
Education
Diploma in Aviation Maintenance, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field. Additional certifications in aircraft systems or safety management are advantageous.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in aviation maintenance, preferably in commercial or regional airline environments. Experience with Boeing or Airbus aircraft is a plus.
Salary
150,000 – 200,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
