Job Overview

The Curriculum Development Specialist will lead the design, development, and evaluation of curriculum materials for secondary and tertiary education programs. Working closely with subject matter experts, teachers, and digital product teams, you will ensure that learning resources are pedagogically sound, culturally relevant, and aligned with both Kenyan national standards and Pearson’s global benchmarks. This role involves conducting needs analyses, drafting curriculum frameworks, creating instructional content, and overseeing pilot testing in partner schools. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive curriculum frameworks for subjects such as Mathematics, Science, Languages, and Social Studies, ensuring alignment with Kenyan Ministry of Education guidelines.
  • Conduct research and needs assessments to identify gaps in existing curricula and propose innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, teachers, and instructional designers to create engaging, standards‑based learning materials.
  • Lead pilot implementations in selected schools, gather feedback, and refine curriculum content based on data‑driven insights.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of global educational trends, digital learning technologies, and assessment practices.
  • Prepare detailed documentation, including curriculum guides, teacher manuals, and assessment rubrics.
  • Support the sales and marketing teams with technical expertise during client presentations and workshops.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of curriculum interventions on student outcomes and report findings to senior leadership.

Education

Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in curriculum development, preferably within the Kenyan education system or an international educational organization. Salary
