Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Policy Analyst to join our team in Kisumu, Kenya. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and developing policies to support our conservation efforts in East Africa.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental policy and law, as well as experience working with government agencies and local communities. They will be able to analyze complex data and develop effective policy recommendations that support our conservation goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and develop policies to support conservation efforts in East Africa
  • Work with government agencies and local communities to develop effective conservation strategies
  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans to track the effectiveness of conservation efforts
  • Collaborate with other teams to develop and implement conservation projects

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Policy or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in environmental policy or conservation
  • Strong understanding of environmental policy and law
  • Experience working with government agencies and local communities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Education

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy or a related field. A Ph.D. in Environmental Policy or a related field is an added advantage.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in environmental policy or conservation. They will have a strong understanding of environmental policy and law, as well as experience working with government agencies and local communities.

Salary

The salary for this position is 60,000 – 80,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
