Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Forestry Data Analyst to join our team in Kisumu, Kenya. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets related to forestry and conservation. The role will involve working closely with our conservation teams to identify trends and patterns in the data, and to develop insights that inform our conservation strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze large datasets related to forestry and conservation
- Develop and maintain databases and data systems to support conservation efforts
- Identify trends and patterns in the data and develop insights that inform conservation strategies
- Work closely with conservation teams to develop and implement conservation plans
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and other materials
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. R, Python, Tableau)
- Ability to work with large datasets and to develop insights from complex data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to meet deadlines
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in data analysis and conservation
