Organization: Peace Winds Japan (PWJ)
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Contract Duration: 12 Months (Dec 2026 – Dec 2027)

The Procurement Assistant will support procurement and supply chain operations from the Nairobi office, ensuring compliance with PWJ policies and efficient delivery of goods and services to field sites such as Dadaab and Kakuma.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

Administrative Duties

  • Support procurement and administrative operations in Nairobi and field locations
  • Maintain organized documentation and filing systems
  • Assist in deputizing the Senior Procurement Officer when required

Supply Chain Management

  • Ensure compliance with PWJ procurement policies
  • Support procurement processes across projects
  • Prepare and submit bi-weekly procurement reports

Procurement Functions

  • Review purchase requests for accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate with suppliers and track purchase orders
  • Maintain procurement records and price databases
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Collaborate with field teams in Dadaab and Kakuma

🧑‍💼 Candidate Profile

Education & Experience:

  • Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum 3 years of practical procurement experience
  • Membership with CIPS or KISM preferred
  • Experience working with NGOs/INGOs in Kenya

Skills:

  • Knowledge of ERP systems
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools

Languages:

  • Fluent in English and Kiswahili
