We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Geophysics Research Scientist to join our team in Kisumu, Kenya.

Job Overview:Our Geophysics Research Scientist will be responsible for conducting research in geophysics, with a focus on seismic hazard assessment and mitigation. The successful candidate will have a strong background in geophysics and experience in seismic data analysis. They will work closely with our team of geologists and geophysicists to develop and implement new methods for seismic hazard assessment and mitigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research in geophysics, with a focus on seismic hazard assessment and mitigation
  • Analyze seismic data to identify patterns and trends
  • Develop and implement new methods for seismic hazard assessment and mitigation
  • Collaborate with our team of geologists and geophysicists to develop and implement new research projects
  • Present research findings at conferences and workshops

Required Skills:

  • Ph.D. in Geophysics or a related field
  • Experience in seismic data analysis

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geophysics or a related field
