Job Overview
The Cultural Heritage Preservation Specialist will lead initiatives to document, protect, and promote Wajir’s intangible and tangible heritage. This role involves fieldwork, community engagement, and collaboration with local stakeholders to ensure sustainable preservation. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field surveys to identify and document cultural heritage sites and practices.
- Develop preservation plans for endangered heritage assets, including oral histories and traditional crafts.
- Organize community workshops to raise awareness about heritage conservation.
- Collaborate with local leaders, NGOs, and government agencies on heritage projects.
- Manage budgets and timelines for preservation initiatives.
- Prepare reports and publications on findings for academic and public audiences.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in cultural heritage documentation and preservation techniques.
- Experience working in remote or rural environments.

Education

Salary
150,000 – 250,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience.
